Crofter was bred by Gordon and Margery Hamilton of ‘The Tyrie Shetland Pony Stud’ up in the north of Scotland near Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.

Shown extensively throughout Scotland in inhand young stock classes he has won or been placed in every Breed or County Show he has entered. The highlights of his young career so far, Reserve Miniature Champion at Thainstone Dec 2005 at 2 years and 1 st Licensed Stallion (all) Reading Sale and Grand Champion Pony.

We bought Crofter as our first Shetland Stallion in October 2007, having a young family and requiring a small teaser for the stud Crofter more than fits the bill being a licensed stallion himself.

His temperament is just perfect and he has the kindest sweetest nature that just shines through as our young children ride, groom and lead him out to the field every day.
